Located just a five-minute drive from the city center and ten minutes from the airport, the hotel boasts an enviable position in Dhofar. The property itself is commendable, yet it fell short in certain aspects of hospitality. For a three-bedroom apartment, I noted a lack of essential items such as adequate towels, kitchen utensils, and glasses-this could muddy the experience. While the room was comfortable with a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi, basic amenities like an electric kettle and cookware were sparse. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, providing service that felt genuine. The hotel rates are notably convenient, especially during peak season, presenting an attractive proposition for budget-conscious travelers. Additional services such as laundry and shuttle assistance are available, although having more comprehensive in-room dining options could elevate the experience. In essence, while Star Emirates has its merits in location and customer service, potential guests should weigh these factors against lacking provisions in their accommodations for a well-rounded stay.
